Downtown Grounds is located in the heart of downtown Medford. Our shop has a unique layout with the coffee prep area downstairs, with seating both outside in front of the shop, as well as indoor seating upstairs.  We also provide free Wi-Fi, so please feel free to bring your laptop and camp out for a few hours. Our upstairs seating area is usually pretty calm and peaceful, which makes it perfect for studying or just surfing the internet.

Our hot drinks are crafted with care, to your specifications. If you have any special requests (flavor substitutions, decaf instead of regular espresso, nonfat, etc.) please let us know. One of my favorite things about being a small business and not a huge corporation is the freedom to customize your drink as far as we are able with the supplies we have. So please ask!

All of our blended drinks are blended one at a time– nothing is just poured out of a granita machine or anything, so your smoothies and blended coffees are always smooth and creamy. No ice chunks here… It’s how we do.

We get all of our house roast and espresso beans from The Good Bean, a local award-winning, family-owned and -operated coffee roasting company in Jacksonville, a small historical town about 5 miles to the west of Medford. The Good Bean recently won the gold medal for their Dark Mountain espresso roast (which is what we use!) at the 2010 Best Coffee in Oregon Championships, beating out Portland’s own Stumptown Coffee Roasters, as well as medaling in two other categories.
