I prefer being a barista to being in retail sales.  I work in a store that allows me (ahem) to do both, especially when the cafe business is slow.

I’m not saying that there aren’t pushy coffee people.

But most people tend to be a lot nicer when they think there’s a chance they might be drinking your spit.

I like that.
